What should I do before Amber Maid arrives?
To ensure maximum efficiency, we kindly ask that you put away loose papers, toys, clothes, and other objects. Please make sure that all dishes are put away to enable us to clean your kitchen thoroughly.
Do I need to be home for every cleaning service?
No. You can provide our cleaning professionals with a spare key or garage code.
What time does your team arrive?
We will give you an arrival time frame of three hours. We’re not able to provide an exact time of arrival, but we do our best to ensure that our cleaning plan doesn’t interfere with your schedule.
What if something's damaged during a service?
If something happens to break during our routine service, we’ll do our best to repair or replace the item. Insurance claims can be filed when appropriate.
What do you NOT clean?
Remove high levels of trash/debris
Pet waste
Inside washer/dryers
Inside dishwashers
Cat litter box
Insects/rodents/rodent droppings
Wash/load/put away dishes - that's offered as an add-on service
Wipe light bulbs and delicate glass fixtures
Move furniture
Clean the inside of fireplace
Pick up clutter
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes, we will bring our own supplies. We just ask that you provide paper towels. Please let us know if you have specific products you would prefer to provide. We are happy to use them if you prefer.
What if I need to re-schedule a service?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a cleaning, we recommend that you let us know 72 hours before your next scheduled service. We’ll do our best to accommodate all of your scheduling needs.
How do I pay?
Payments are due on the day of your scheduled service. We accept Venmo or Zelle payments.
Do you always send the same house cleaners?
We believe it’s very important to always send the same team to clean your home and we do everything in our control to make this possible. If a member of your team is absent, we’ll do our best to find the most suitable replacement.
Do your house cleaners accept tips?
While tips aren’t expected, we’re allowed to accept them. Some of our clients prefer to tip a little at the end of each service while others provide a large tip at the end of the year.
Do you make beds?
Yes, and we will change the sheets if clean ones are left on the bed.
What if something is missed?
All cleanings must undergo inspection before our team departs the premises. We do not provide re-cleaning services. If you are absent during the cleaning, you have 24 hours to notify us of any concerns, and we will credit you up to $25 towards your next cleaning.
